"Trey”

Trey Wirth, a 7th generation Texan, was born in San Antonio where his family settled in 1853 and brought livestock to the area. He began establishing an interest in cuisine when his parents, Ferdie and Jackie Wirth, started a popular and well known restaurant called Ferdies Steak and BBQ. Ferdies was established in 1969 on the families Texas settlement in Bulverde and became a popular dining and tourist destination (for more information about Ferdies please visit www.Ferdies.com).

The traveling gourmet As a young adult, Trey managed Ferdies while attending St. Philips College for hotel restaurant management. Later he furthered his career by moving to California and then the East coast working and managing numerous businesses within his field. Trey has also traveled the world and attended the legendary Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, France.

In 2001 he moved to Houston and shortly thereafter founded the Black Swan Catering company under the trademark Ferdies in 2003. The Black Swan Catering Company is a full service catering company servicing a variety of clients within the intercontinental United States, as well as, Europe. Currently, Black Swan Catering is working on opening a bakery and specialty shop offering a large variety of take out items by 2013 at our Spring location off Cypresswood in Mirror Lake Estates.
